Description · Beam for Industrial Shelving
The shelving beam is an essential component for the rigidity and stability of your storage system. Designed to reinforce the structure of the upright frames, this 948 mm horizontal beam, made of high-strength steel and finished in blue, significantly improves load capacity and prevents deformation. Its installation is simple and adds an extra layer of safety and durability to your equipment, optimizing space in your warehouse or workshop.
The rigidity and stability of your storage system are significantly reinforced with this shelf bracing. Designed to integrate perfectly into the structure of pallet racking frames, this 948 mm horizontal component is key to preventing deformation and ensuring the nominal load capacity of each level. Its distinctive blue finish not only facilitates identification within your equipment but also contributes to clear visual organization in your warehouse or workshop. The correct installation of this shelf bracing is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of your infrastructure, especially if you handle heavy loads or if your work areas are frequently trafficked, thus ensuring greater operational safety.
This shelf bracing is a vital element for the longevity and optimal performance of your storage structures. By uniformly distributing stresses along the uprights, it effectively prevents buckling and ensures that each level can support its designated weight without risk. Its design is intended for simple and quick assembly, making it a practical solution for reinforcing or renovating existing installations. Whether you need to improve the robustness of a warehouse, a mechanical workshop, or a specific storage area with high load requirements, this accessory provides additional peace of mind about the solidity of your equipment. Consider adding protective accessories, such as upright protectors, for complete defense against impacts.
The installation of this shelf bracing directly contributes to the durability and safety of your logistics space. By improving the cohesion between the vertical components, the overall resistance of the system is optimized. This type of horizontal reinforcement is a smart preventive measure that extends the service life of your structures, avoiding costly repairs or replacements in the long term. It is a wise choice for those seeking to maximize efficiency and minimize risks in dynamic work environments. The robustness provided by this shelf bracing is a determining factor in maintaining a constant and safe workflow.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
