Description · Upright for Shelving
The shelving upright is the backbone of your storage system, a 255 cm high and 90x60x1.5 mm steel profile designed to support industrial loads. Its main function is to provide vertical support to the beams, creating the levels where palletized goods are stored. The robustness of this shelving upright allows for optimization of vertical space, facilitating inventory management and ensuring the stability of your shelving. This component is essential for configurations requiring high capacity and safety.
The upright is the fundamental pillar of any robust storage system, designed to maximize your vertical space. This particular model, with a height of 255 cm and a 90x60x1.5 mm profile, can be configured to offer up to four different load heights per upright frame. This translates directly into a greater storage capacity for your palletized goods, optimizing layout and facilitating more agile and efficient inventory management. The inherent robustness of this upright guarantees the necessary stability to safely house multiple pallets, making it the ideal choice for those looking to increase their capacity without compromising safety.
This upright represents the ideal solution for spaces that demand high performance and significant load capacity, such as large-volume warehouses or industrial buildings. Unlike other smaller options, its design and robustness prepare it for intensive use and to withstand the demands of high-turnover environments. Its configuration of up to four load heights per upright frame is particularly advantageous for space optimization, allowing for higher storage density and, consequently, a reduction in the physical space required for your goods. Choosing this upright means investing in a solid structure and maximizing your storage investment.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
