Frequently asked questions

How many pallets can I place per level on this shelving?
On the 269 cm beams, you can place up to 3 European pallets or 2 American pallets per level. This allows for versatile distribution depending on the type of goods you handle.
Is it necessary to anchor the shelving to the floor?
Yes, for safety reasons and current regulations, it is mandatory to anchor the uprights to the floor. This guarantees the total stability of the structure, especially when working with heavy loads.
What does a 1500 kg UDL load mean?
UDL means Uniformly Distributed Load. This implies that the 1500 kg must be distributed in a balanced manner along the entire surface of the beam so as not to compromise the structure.
Does the shelving include complete load levels?
Yes, the product includes the necessary beams to configure the 5 load levels described. You will receive all the necessary material for quick and easy assembly.
What is the approximate delivery time?
At RacksPoint, we work to ensure your order reaches any point in Spain as quickly as possible. Once payment is confirmed, we process your shipment so you can start organizing your warehouse in a few days.
Floor anchoring is mandatory: the frames are fixed to the floor with the anchors included in the kit. The rack is assembled by slotting the parts together, with no screws; the anchors are only for fixing it to the floor. The stated load is per level, for a uniformly distributed static load and with the structure correctly assembled and leveled.

Applicable regulations in Ireland

Pallet racking and forklift operation

In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
