Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to add more load levels to this shelving unit?
Yes, the system is modular and you can add additional levels as long as the total height and upright load capacity allow it. We recommend contacting our technical team to verify the configuration before purchasing.
What type of pallets does this 269 cm shelving unit accommodate?
The 269 cm beams are designed to perfectly hold 3 European pallets (80x120 cm) or 2 American pallets (100x120 cm) per level. This versatility allows you to manage different types of goods with a single structure.
Is everything needed for assembly included?
The product includes the uprights and beams necessary to form the 5 indicated levels, along with safety pins. Make sure you have adequate floor anchors to ensure the total stability of the structure.
What is the maximum weight I can place on each level?
Each level is designed to support a UDL (uniformly distributed load) of up to 1000 kg. It is crucial not to exceed this weight to maintain safety standards and prevent beam deformation.
Can I install this shelving unit myself?
Yes, assembly is simple and designed to be done intuitively by following our guides. However, as these are heavy-duty equipment, we recommend using qualified personnel and adhering to all occupational risk prevention regulations.
Floor anchoring is mandatory: the frames are fixed to the floor with the anchors included in the kit. The rack is assembled by slotting the parts together, with no screws; the anchors are only for fixing it to the floor. The stated load is per level, for a uniformly distributed static load and with the structure correctly assembled and leveled.

Applicable regulations in Ireland

Pallet racking and forklift operation

In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
