Description · Warehouse Racking Protection
Essential for busy Irish warehouses, this high-visibility orange L-shaped post protector provides reliable racking protection against accidental forklift impacts. Weighing 1.50 kg, this high-resistance upright guard attaches directly to the base of your frame uprights without special tools, absorbing collision energy where damage is most likely to occur. Designed to safeguard vulnerable corner posts, this bright orange shield prevents costly structural repairs and maintains storage system stability in active industrial environments, workshops, and distribution hubs.
The L-shaped upright protector in bright orange finish is a key component within shelving protection, specifically designed to absorb the force of accidental impacts caused by forklifts or other industrial machinery vehicles. By placing this protective element at the base of the vertical upright, you prevent serious structural deformations and costly breakages that would compromise both the stored merchandise stock and the overall load capacity and stability of the unit. This accessory acts as a highly effective preventive shield that deflects the energy of the blow, drastically reducing unplanned downtime and ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment day after day in your workspace.
Regarding their manufacturing and finish, these shelving protection items stand out for their construction from high-strength mechanical materials, capable of withstanding continuous physical aggressions in intensive use environments. Furthermore, the high-visibility orange finish not only facilitates immediate location by operators at the wheel but also helps to clearly demarcate passage areas.
This product is the right choice for large logistics centers, industrial warehouses, workshops, or garages where maneuvering space is tight and the risk of collision at the corners of modules is constant. Implementing adequate shelving protection represents a smart investment against expensive emergency repairs or the replacement of entire modules. For larger-scale projects that require protecting complete perimeter sections against heavy traffic, you can combine this model with a protection barrier installed in the main aisles. Ensure the integrity of your facilities with this indispensable component and extend the durability of all your equipment.
These shelving protections are manufactured with high-strength materials to withstand continuous use in industrial environments. Their L-shaped design and striking orange color ensure they are easily visible, acting as a deterrent safety element. Installation is simple: they attach directly to the base of the upright, with no special tools required, providing immediate protection against impacts from forklifts or other handling equipment.
By incorporating these shelving protections, you not only safeguard the structure of your storage system but also ensure the safety of your personnel and the integrity of the merchandise. They are a cost-effective investment that prevents major damage and costly repairs, ensuring operational continuity in your warehouse, industrial facility, or workshop. The visibility of the orange color is key to collision prevention, especially in high-traffic areas or tight spaces, contributing to a safer and more organized work environment.

Applicable regulations in Ireland · Warehouse Racking Protection · L-Shaped · Orange
Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
