Description · Adjustable Pallet Racking 1000 kg
Installing this adjustable pallet racking unit provides 4 levels with a 1000 kg capacity per level across a 255 cm height. Suited to storing up to 15 euro pallets across 5 loading heights including the floor, this kit features 2 blue RAL 5010 upright frames at 100 cm depth and 8 orange RAL 2002 beams with a 269 cm clear span. Delivering a total 4000 kg beam capacity per bay, the structure includes anchors and safety pins for reliable stability in busy Irish facilities.
Integrating 4 beam elevations alongside the ground floor surface creates 5 clear loading heights within this setup. Each elevated level accommodates 3 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 2 American pallets measuring 1000x1200 mm side by side. Counting floor storage, each bay stores up to 15 Euro pallets in total. Selecting this adjustable pallet racking structure suits busy Irish distribution facilities and logistics hubs requiring dense vertical storage with direct access to every single pallet position without moving adjacent stock.
Engineered to handle 1000 kg per beam level in uniformly distributed load, this unit supports 4000 kg across its beam levels. Standing 255 cm high with a clear span of 269 cm and a depth of 100 cm, the unit features 90x60 mm uprights and 100x45 mm beams. This adjustable pallet racking configuration handles standard Euro pallets and American pallets efficiently. Note that ground floor load capacity depends entirely on your concrete slab rating rather than the framework itself.
The kit weighs 133.54 kg and includes 2 upright frames, 8 beams measuring 2690 mm, and 18 safety pins 90#. Assembly involves joining 4 uprights using 6 diagonal bracing bars measuring 1128x40x30x1.5 mm, 4 horizontal bracing bars measuring 948x40x30x1.5 mm, M10x75 bolts, and M10 nuts. Each upright fastens to a 120x120x3 mm base plate secured with M10x70 anchors. Assembling this adjustable pallet racking model requires no specialist tools; each beam connector hooks directly into upright slots and locks securely with safety pins.
Finished in high-visibility industrial powder coating, the upright frames feature blue RAL 5010 while the beams feature orange RAL 2002. To safeguard structural components against forklift collisions, compatible accessories include steel upright protectors and heavy-duty protection barriers available in orange RAL 2004 or yellow RAL 1023. You can also add 2650 mm timber shelf inserts to convert beam levels into picking shelves. Modular expansion with this adjustable pallet racking layout allows connecting add-on bays that share an upright frame with the starter unit.
This 4-level unit is the right choice for industrial warehouses, commercial stores, and workshops seeking to maximise storage density within a 255 cm frame height. Compared to 2-level or 3-level configurations of the same height, this adjustable pallet racking option provides 5 loading heights to capitalise on available vertical space. It accommodates high turnover inventory, offers direct access to every pallet position, and delivers a balanced capacity ideal for facilities handling heavy palletised goods up to 1000 kg per level.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
