Description · Reinforced Six Tier Bay 1500 kg
Our bay six tier reinforced pallet racking provides 1500 kg capacity per level across a 255x269x100 cm frame for demanding Irish industrial storage. Designed to maximize vertical space, this kit offers 7 loading levels including the floor to hold up to 21 euro pallets or 14 American pallets. Featuring 120x45 mm reinforced orange RAL 2002 beams and blue RAL 5010 uprights, the structure guarantees a total beam load of 9000 kg per module. Anchored securely with M10 expansion bolts, it delivers exceptional stability without requiring specialized tools for assembly.
Maximising vertical storage efficiency across Irish warehouses requires intelligent structure design. This high-density setup provides 6 beam levels plus the ground floor, creating seven distinct loading heights within a single frame. Each elevation accommodates either three Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or two American pallets measuring 1000x1200 mm side by side. By storing up to 21 Euro pallets or 14 American pallets per section, operations managers can dramatically consolidate floor space while maintaining immediate fork-truck accessibility for high-throughput inventory management.
Engineered to support heavy commercial loads, this bay six tier reinforced racking unit safely handles 1500 kg of evenly distributed weight per pair of beams. Across all six levels, the module carries a total structure capacity of 9000 kg on the beams, excluding the floor surface. With an overall height of 255 cm, a generous 269 cm clear span, and a standard 100 cm depth, it seamlessly aligns with standard pallet dimensions while providing structural stability under full operational loads across active industrial environments.
Delivered as a complete kit weighing 185.67 kg, assembly is straightforward without requiring welding or specialised tools. The framework comprises four 2550 mm uprights connected by diagonal and horizontal bracing bars using M10x75 bolts. Steel footplates measuring 120x120 mm secure firmly into concrete using M10x70 expansion bolts. Twelve reinforced 120x45 mm beams spanning 2690 mm slot directly into the frame connectors, locked in place by 26 safety pins 90# to guarantee total operational security during daily loading cycles.
The structure features industrial epoxy finishes, combining RAL 5010 blue upright frames with high-visibility RAL 2002 orange beams. For enhanced facility protection, compatible upright protectors and guardrail barriers are available in RAL 2004 orange or RAL 1023 yellow. Facilities can convert any beam level into a picking tier using an optional 2650 mm shelf panel. Expanding your runs is effortless through add-on units that share end frames with existing six tier reinforced bays, delivering exceptional modular efficiency.
This configuration is the ideal choice for busy logistics centers, production facilities, or engineering workshops seeking maximum vertical density within a 255 cm headroom height. While 2-level, 3-level, 4-level, or 5-level alternatives in the same 269 cm span suit lower pallet counts, selecting this 6-level setup maximises tier frequency. Furthermore, choosing the heavy-duty reinforced beam specification over standard load variants provides crucial strength reserves when storing multiple heavy palletised goods across tight vertical intervals.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
