Description · Storage Racking Systems 1000 kg
Selecting versatile storage racking systems with a 300 cm height and 184 cm clear span creates efficient handling across Irish facilities. This model features 2 blue RAL 5010 upright frames at 100 cm depth alongside 6 orange RAL 2002 beams, delivering 3 beam levels plus floor space to store up to 8 Euro pallets. Each level supports 1000 kg distributed weight for a 3000 kg total bay capacity. Weighing 96.58 kg, this kit installs quickly with bolted upright frames, base plates, and safety pins for dependable stability.
Selecting this 3-level storage racking system provides 4 distinct loading heights by utilising 3 beam elevations alongside the ground floor surface. Each elevation accommodates either 2 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 1 American pallet measuring 1000x1200 mm. In total, 1 unit stores up to 8 Euro pallets or 4 American pallets across all tiers. This configuration suits facilities seeking balanced vertical efficiency with rapid forklift access without needing excessively tall reach trucks.
Engineered for reliable load management, this storage racking systems module features a height of 300 cm, a clear span of 184 cm, and a depth of 100 cm. Each beam level supports a uniformly distributed load of 1000 kg, giving each bay a total beam capacity of 3000 kg. Ground floor load capacity depends entirely on the concrete floor strength. Designed around standard dimensions, each beam level fits 2 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 1 American pallet measuring 1000x1200 mm.
The complete kit weighs 96.58 kg and arrives ready for simple component assembly without requiring special tools or welding. Installing these storage racking systems involves assembling 2 upright frames, each built from 2 uprights connected by 8 diagonal bracing bars and 4 horizontal bracing bars secured with M10 bolts and nuts. Each upright stands on a 120x120 mm base plate anchored to the floor with M10 expansion anchors. The 6 beam components hook into the upright slots via end connectors and lock securely with safety pins.
To ensure high visibility and clean aesthetics, the upright frames feature a RAL 5010 blue finish while the 100x45 mm beams are finished in orange RAL 2002. These storage racking systems integrate with modular accessories, including steel upright protectors and protection barriers in orange RAL 2004 or yellow RAL 1023. Facilities can also convert a level for manual picking by adding a 1800 mm timber shelf deck. Furthermore, the configurator enables adding extension bays that share an upright frame with the adjacent unit to save floor space.
Selecting this 3-level setup provides the ideal middle ground for standard commercial warehouses, distribution units, and engineering workshops operating under standard ceiling heights. While 2-level versions suit low-clearance areas and 4, 5, or 6-level models demand high-reach equipment, this configuration offers maximised vertical density without slowing down routine forklift operations. Businesses investing in these reliable storage racking systems gain a versatile structure that maintains quick product access while organising up to 3000 kg of elevated inventory efficiently across every bay.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
