Description · Commercial Pallet Racking 1000 kg
Installing commercial pallet racking provides a 1000 kg capacity per level across a 269 cm clear span for Irish facilities. This structure features 2 blue RAL 5010 upright frames at 300 cm height and 100 cm depth, supporting 8 orange RAL 2002 beams secured with a safety pin on each connector. With 4 beam levels plus ground space, each bay accommodates up to 15 euro pallets across 5 loading heights. Supplied with base plates and anchors, this 136.45 kg unit offers effortless bolt-together assembly without special tools.
Installing this setup provides 4 beam elevations alongside the floor level, yielding 5 total load heights. Each elevated beam level holds 3 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 2 American pallets measuring 1000x1200 mm, accommodating up to 15 Euro pallets per bay in total. Choosing this commercial pallet racking configuration suits busy facilities that require higher vertical capacity than 2-level or 3-level models offer, while keeping inventory accessible. It gives warehouse managers a practical solution for medium-density stock management across industrial premises.
The total kit weight is 136.45 kg, containing 2 upright frames built from 4 uprights measuring 90x60 mm, 8 diagonal bracing bar components, and 4 horizontal bracing bar units fastened with M10 bolt and nut sets. Each upright stands on a 120x120 mm base plate fixed to the concrete floor using an anchor bolt (M10x70 expansion anchor). Eight 100x45 mm beams with connectors hook into slots and lock with safety pins, making this commercial pallet racking simple to assemble without welding.
Finished in durable RAL 5010 blue for upright frames and RAL 2002 orange for beams, this module maintains a clean industrial visual finish. Operators can enhance safety by installing optional upright protector guards or protection barrier rails in RAL 2004 orange or RAL 1023 yellow. Adding a 2650 mm shelf converts any level into a picking station. Expanding your layout is straightforward, as this commercial pallet racking allows add-on bays to connect seamlessly by sharing an upright frame with the initial bay.
This bay is an ideal choice for commercial warehouses, logistics hubs, industrial units, and manufacturing workshops requiring heavy load capacity and standard vertical storage. Whether storing raw materials, boxed goods, or finished products, the unit delivers structured accessibility across all tiers. Facilities needing reliable organisation for medium-to-heavy paletted loads benefit from choosing this commercial pallet racking model over lower-tier options. It provides an optimal balance between height utilisation, load capacity, and floor footprint across Irish industrial sites.
Each upright frame is assembled by joining two 300 cm uprights with diagonal bracing bar components measuring 1128x40x30x1.5 mm and horizontal bracing bar units measuring 948x40x30x1.5 mm using M10x75 bolts and nuts. Every upright stands on a 120x120x3 mm base plate fixed to concrete with an M10x70 anchor to ensure floor stability. To complete the structure, four pairs of 100x45 mm beams with end connectors hook into slots and lock with 90# safety pins, ensuring this commercial pallet racking build remains solid without welding.
Suited to busy Irish distribution hubs and manufacturing workshops, this commercial pallet racking setup organises raw materials on lower beam levels while storing packaged goods overhead. The 269 cm clear span cleanly holds 3 Euro pallets or 2 American pallets per tier, while beams adjust vertically along upright slots to adapt to changing inventory profiles. Operators can also fit a 2650 mm shelf to transform any level into an active picking station.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
