Description · Pallet Shelving 1000 kg
Investing in 300 cm tall pallet shelving provides an efficient structure for organising heavy inventory across Irish commercial premises. This model features 2 blue RAL 5010 upright frames at 100 cm depth alongside 4 orange RAL 2002 beams spanning 269 cm. Offering 2 beam levels plus floor space, the kit creates 3 load heights that hold 3 Euro pallets or 2 American pallets per height. Delivering a 1000 kg capacity per level and 2000 kg total beam capacity, the structure stores up to 9 Euro pallets per bay.
Selecting this configuration of pallet shelving provides 2 beam levels alongside the floor surface, creating 3 clear loading heights in a single unit. Each elevated level accepts 3 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 2 American pallets measuring 1000x1200 mm side by side. Including floor storage, this setup accommodates up to 9 Euro pallets in total across the structure. It is an ideal layout for commercial facilities seeking accessible storage without requiring high-reach machinery.
Engineered to handle substantial inventory, this pallet shelving system supports 1000 kg per beam level in uniformly distributed weight, yielding a total capacity of 2000 kg on the beam levels per bay. Standing 300 cm high with a 269 cm clear span and 100 cm depth, each bay incorporates 90x60 mm uprights and 100x45 mm beams. Weighing 93.92 kg, the kit guarantees reliable support for standardised Euro pallets of 800x1200 mm and American pallets of 1000x1200 mm across all beam levels.
Assembling this modular pallet shelving structure involves building 2 upright frames using 4 steel uprights joined by 8 diagonal bracing bar components measuring 1128x40x30x1.5 mm and 4 horizontal bracing bar elements measuring 948x40x30x1.5 mm secured with M10x75 bolt fasteners and M10 nut fittings. Each upright stands on a 120x120x3 mm base plate secured with M10x70 anchor fixings. The 4 beams engage the upright slots through each connector and lock into place with a 90# safety pin.
Finished in bright industrial colours, this pallet shelving unit features blue RAL 5010 upright frames paired with high-visibility orange RAL 2002 beams. To safeguard structural elements against vehicle impact, compatible accessories include a steel upright protector alongside floor-mounted protection barrier rails in orange RAL 2004 or yellow RAL 1023. Furthermore, a 2650 mm shelf can adapt a level for picking, while expansion modules efficiently share an upright frame.
Installing this pallet shelving layout provides an efficient floor-plus-two storage solution tailored for Irish distribution centres, industrial premises, and active workshops. With a total height of 300 cm and wide 269 cm beam spans, each bay maximises lateral storage capacity while remaining easily accessible for standard forklift equipment without demanding high ceiling clearance. Choosing this specific 2-level configuration ensures optimal stock throughput for operations that prioritise wide, direct loading access over tall vertical stacking.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
