Description · Logistics Racking Systems 1000 kg
Specifying high-capacity logistics racking allows Irish premises to optimise floor space with a 300 cm tall framework. This model features a 269 cm clear span and 100 cm depth, delivering 1000 kg load capacity per level across 5 beam levels. Accommodating up to 18 euro pallets across 6 loading heights including floor position, each bay handles 5000 kg total capacity across its orange beam pairs. Supplied as a 157.71 kg self-assembly structure with blue upright frames and anchors, the unit provides direct access to every stored pallet.
Implementing this setup provides 5 elevated beam levels alongside the floor area, creating 6 total loading heights within each bay. Every beam level accommodates 3 Euro pallets measuring 800x1200 mm or 2 American pallets measuring 1000x1200 mm. When counting floor placement, this high-density logistics racking configuration enables operations to store up to 18 Euro pallets per single bay. Facilities aiming to maximise vertical space without expanding their physical building footprint will find this layout ideal for organised storage.
The kit contains 2 upright frames, formed by 4 uprights, 8 diagonal bracing bars, 4 horizontal bracing bars, and 4 base plates bolted together with M10 bolts and nuts. Ground attachment uses M10x70 floor anchors through each 120x120 mm base plate. The 10 included beams fit directly into upright slots via their connectors and remain secured by 22 safety pins. Assembling this modular logistics racking structure involves straightforward component joining without welding, guaranteeing structural stability once anchored to solid concrete floors.
Finished in distinct colours, the upright frames feature RAL 5010 blue while the load beams present RAL 2002 orange. To extend operational lifespan, this versatile logistics racking supports optional accessories such as steel upright protectors and protection barriers in RAL 2004 orange or RAL 1023 yellow. Facilities can integrate a 2650 mm shelf deck to transform lower levels into dedicated picking tiers. Furthermore, expansion remains simple because modular add-on bays directly share an upright frame with existing starter units.
Selecting this 5-level configuration provides superior vertical capacity compared to configurations with fewer beam tiers, making full use of available clear height. This heavy-duty logistics racking option proves ideal for Irish warehouses, distribution hubs, and commercial workshops demanding maximum palette density alongside complete direct accessibility. By choosing 5 levels over lower variants, operators optimise floor space, reduce storage bottlenecks, and improve stock management within high-turnover industrial environments requiring systematic inventory organisation.
Weighing 157.71 kg in total, this complete kit arrives with all essential structural components for swift onsite setup. Assembly begins by joining the 4 uprights using 8 diagonal bracing bars measuring 1128x40x30x1.5 mm alongside 4 horizontal bracing bars measuring 948x40x30x1.5 mm. These members are secured with 16 M10x75 bolts and 24 M10 nuts to form 2 rigid upright frames. Integrating this standard logistics racking unit into a facility requires no specialised tools or site welding.
Anchoring each 120x120x3 mm base plate to solid concrete involves 9 M10x20 bolts and 9 M10x70 floor expansion anchors to ensure ultimate stability under maximum loading conditions. Once upright frames are erected, the 10 load beams fit securely into the 90x60 mm upright profile slots via connectors and 22 safety pins. This precise modular layout allows Irish facilities to adapt beam heights easily, making the versatile logistics racking structure a reliable choice for long-term inventory management.

Pallet racking and forklift operation
In Ireland, pallet racking in a forklift-served warehouse is work equipment under Part 2, Chapter 2 of the General Application Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299/2007), implementing the EU Work Equipment Directive (now Directive 2009/104/EC). installed and located correctly (Reg. 28); stabilised by clamping or some other means where necessary for safety (Reg. 33), in practice erected as per the manufacturer’s instructions with the uprights anchored to the floor; maintained throughout its working life (Reg. 31); and inspected by a competent person after installation and re-assembly, then periodically and by special inspection after an accident, a modification or any other exceptional event, with records kept for 5 years (Reg. 30). Traffic routes must be dimensioned for the number of users and the type of undertaking, pedestrians given sufficient safety clearance where trucks share them, and areas where objects could fall clearly indicated and access controlled (Reg. 14). Health and Safety Authority guidance asks for the maximum safe load prominently marked on all racks, racking checked regularly for damage and uprights protected from impact; its Code of Practice on the Safe Use of Industrial Trucks adds that features of the operating area such as racking should be clearly marked and protected against accidental damage. EN 15635, the European standard on the use and maintenance of storage equipment, is a technical reference for organising those checks, not a legal obligation.
